It is finished! Sunday we took the last of anything we had out of the house. Items remaining at Sheila's from our garage sale was taken to Goodwill (5-6 SUVs full). We are now officially houseless and now "Anywhere USA"!!! We are presently staying at Blue Springs Lake Campground until the Raytown Summerfest BBQ weekend of June 7-9. We will be camped at the BBQ then on to Longview Campground until the week after Fathers' Day. Not sure of next destination yet.Sunday, May 27, 2012
5/27/2012
WELL IT IS FINISHED! We had our last garage sale at the Rodriguez house this week.
(Sorry but this blog always turns photos to original direction on phone)
We took 5 or 6 SUV loads of stuff to Goodwill when we closed last night. We grabbed some dinner on the way home and fell asleep on the sofa by 8 pm. Got up at 8:30 PM and went to bed. Tom slept about 10 hours and I slept 12 hours. Amazing!

JIMMY BUFFETT IN KC 4-21-12
We've been fans of Jimmy Buffett for a long time and when our son, Gus Rodriguez, received tickets for his concert here in KC this weekend, he was kind enough to give them to us. We have always wanted to see him live. These were not only just seats but floor, 3 rows back center! It was quite a treat. Some friends of our s, Susan and Jim Kelly, "put us onto" Jimmy years ago because they have been a fan forever. We went to "The Cashew" bar on Grand and caught their shuttle to Sprint arena and back then met up with friends back at "Cashew's" afterwards. It was a fun concert. He sang most of his most popular plus some of his really oldies. The crowd was wild complete with palm tree basketball and bouncing beach balls before the show. Sold out crazy crowd. Many came in grass skirts, bikinis over clothing, pirates costumes, wild hats from cheeseburgers to sharks and more. What a fun evening! Another item marked of our "bucket list"!

Kansas Speedway 4-21/22-2012
We drove the motor coach and camped at the Kansas Speedway for the first time. We have had season tickets for years but always had to drive to and from each day. It is a large parking lot with no hookups. This is our first adventure of dry camping multiple days and things have gone fine. We drove out Thursday since we were new at it. Sharon and Brad Riemal (who have seats next to us) came out today and had brunch with us before the truck races. They enjoyed seeing our new home. They said we were the happiest "homeless" people they knew. We are at the end of track between 3rd and 4th turn. We cannot see the track from our coach but see a lot of activity outside. They even have "Johnny on the Spots" and free shower if we needed them for any reason.
SHOWERS BROUGHT IN ON TRUCK
Friday we went over to the new casino on the 2nd turn of track. We played some slots and left a "donation". From the 2nd floor restaurant you may walk out on a balcony and view the track. Some of the cars were doing practice runs.

Gibbens House
They are doing inspection today and if that goes well, our house will be SOLD. Now we are busy selling everything remaining in the house. (TVs are already gone) If interested in anything, please let me know. We will be having a garage sale probably starting 4/27.
It passed inspection except some "nick pickin" which we can take care of.
