Christmas Eve!

We have the Jeep packed like Santa's Sleigh and headed to Rodriguez Home for Christmas Eve then on to McKenzie Home for Christmas Day with all the extended family.  The day after Christmas, we say fond farewell to friends and family and head south to Harlingen, TX -  then on east along the southern coast.  Plan to return to KC area the first of April.

May God Bless Each of You in the Coming New Year!

Gingerbread Houses

One evening in preparation for Christmas we traveled to our kids' home, Sheila and Gus Rodriguez, to join them in the tradition of decorating gingerbread houses.  In the past, Tom and I would design and bake our own house but because of limited space in the coach, we settled for kits.  It was great fun creating them with the kids and grandkids....each house so totally different.  Traditions are wonderful.

Sheila helped everyone and was our "gofer"

Annual Cookie Baking with Dad/Grandpa

Every since our daughters were little we have had a tradition of baking spritz cookies with Grandpa.  This is a special time for Tom (girls too).  As the grandchildren came along, they too joined in the fun.  Now the grandchildren range from 12 to 18 and it's still fun.  Hank's girlfriend, Hope, even joined in.  Because our kitchen has been greatly downsized to the coach, we used Sheila's kitchen.  After a great meal of Fun House Pizza, the process began.  In a little more than 4 hours, 96 dozen were completed - not counting the dough and cookies that were eaten in the process!

Christmas Holiday Season

It's been a while since I have posted anything.  We have enjoyed being busy visiting with family and friends.  The Holidays are here and we are ready.  We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year.
