Duluth and Railroad Museum

Our second day here we drove around town to see what was here.  I have always loved the old Train Depots.  With this area being big on mining and logging, Deluth didn't let me down.  The building was beautiful and it has been made into a museum.  They used most of the rooms for various displays.  They had a wonderful tribute to the military  through various wars, area history and craftsmen.  The history of logging, a big part of this country through the years.   Of course, the history of trains and some even on display.  We enjoyed it very much.

Tom always claimed to be an "engineer"!

What's in this hole?

It is the burner for the fire to make the steam to make it go.

I bet this snow plow train got a lot of use up here.

 WOW!

Dining car with fine china and silver.
