The park had their Appreciation Dinner on Wed. evening.  OMG  What a feast!  BBQ ribs, chicken, salads, baked potatoes and all the trimmings.  Also they had all the beer and wine that you wanted.  After all that, they came around with my favorite dessert - ice cream bars from the Good Humor man!  For entertainment they brought in a local act "Johnny and June" that did a wonderful tribute to the Cash family along with much of their history.  What a delightful night and it was all FREE!  We met some really delightful people.  The man next to me was actually a Rotarian too.  Thank you to all worked on putting this night together.

Last night we went to a restaurant in old town La Quinta.  The "Hog's Breath Inn".  What a name for a restaurant but it was fabulous.  It is owned by Clint Eastwood and serves American bistro fare, steaks, chops, stone hearth pizzas, pasta, seafood. Award-Winning!   We sat on the balcony which overlooked the mountains with the sun setting.  Seems like all we do is eat.  Right?!
