We have be staying in Surprize, AZ this week which is just beyond the city limits of Sun City where brother Bob Gibbens lives. It has been great having the opportunity to spend this time with him. There are baseball spring training camps everywhere around Phoenix. The KC Royals are right here in Surprise. We went over to watch them practice this week. Next week we are going to watch them play Chicago. The teams that practice in Phoenix area are Royals, Texas Rangers, Padres, Mariners, White Sox, Brewers, Diamondbacks, Athletics, Giants, Cubs, Reds, and Angels. Because it is prime time here for snow birds and baseball, and a NASCAR race, we had great difficulty in securing a park to stay. Where are staying is far from the best but it gets the job done. Bob and Tom are out playing golf AGAIN. This time Raytown Friend, Mike April, has joined them. They should have a great time. The weather was windy yesterday for their game but it is perfect today - sunny, warm, light breeze. This afternoon, the 4 of us are going to Surprise's BBQ Since Tom and Mike are instrumental in the Raytown BBQ, we are interested in seeing how Surprise does theirs. It is smaller but still sanctioned.

How cool is THAT!? I can't wait to take Conner to a Royals game this year. He's starting t-ball this year and is WAY into it.
